We are starting with the “Library for everyone” project
Surveys on reading in Norway shows that almost 90% of the residents read at least one book a year, whereas 38% more than 10. Every third resident of Norway borrows books and uses libraries. In the same year, 38% of Polish residents read one book, over 9% read 7 books, whereas only 16% used the public library.
That is why the goal of the project “A library for everyone. Lodz, Gdynia, Cracow, Bergen – different cities, a common idea. Increasing access to culture – model Polish and Norwegian solution.” is to create the library’s offer as an interesting and modern place, diverse and accessible to everyone.
International collaboration established during the project will enable us to exchange experiences and apply innovative solutions in building up the offer.
The works will result in an offer that takes into account individual needs and expectations, tailored to individual groups of recipients, where everyone will find something interesting.
